“Ms. Aven’s third graders performed the play, ‘Finders Keepers, Losers Weepers’, for the first and second graders. They are becoming very good thespians.”

“The second graders are learning to multiply with Fruitloops. They grouped them by 10’s and counted their groups. So, 4 groups of 10 equals 40. Then, they got to eat the Fruitloops. Math is delicious.”

Seven fourth and fifth grade students were invited to compete in the Shelby County 4H Speech Contest. Fourth graders wrote speeches on “My Favorite _______” and fifth graders wrote speeches on “Someone You Admire.” All seven participants were awarded ribbons, and Maggie Crigler placed third in the fifth grade division.
