3rd Grade Dino News

Third graders have been learning all about dinosaurs and fossils. Students made their own fossils in science lab, then had a day to act like dinosaurs in the lab and learn how tough life was for the ancient creatures! Each student chose a dinosaur to research, then gave reports and visual presentations. The junior paleontologists finished the study by going to the Pink Palace with Ms. Aven’s class. Ms. Rosemary, the dinosaur expert, explained the types of dinosaurs and their eggs, then let everyone dig for and study their discoveries. She also let everyone touch a variety of fossils, including a real Triceratops leg and some dino poo! Then we all toured the fossil and bone exhibits to learn what prehistoric creatures roamed the Memphis area.
