Germantown Library Fundraiser

The students of The Bodine School believe in the importance of reading! To promote reading among others, they decided to participate in the Germantown Library’s fundraiser. The donation of used books will be entered into circulation or sold in the Germantown Community Library Bookstore. All proceeds go into programs for literacy, outreach in reading programs or enhancements to their library program. . Ms. Adams’ fourth grade class of seven students brought in a total of 803 books! The following four classes also made an awesome impact in the project: Mrs. Falvey’s fifth grade - 494 books, Ms. Riddick’s fifth grade - 250 books, Ms. Lee’s fourth grade -325 books, and Mrs. Blakley’s first grade class -121 books! The Germantown Library gave a $100 check to Ms. Adams’ class for bringing in the most books. The class hosted an ice cream party for the participating classes at Bodine. With the money left over, they were able to buy several items for the classroom, including a couple of games to be donated to the school toy chest at the end of the school year.
